CHICAGO—Chieftain Group, an Ireland-based real estate development firm, has named Britta Rivera, vice president of U.S. sales to launch the expansion of the company’s Chicago division.

Rivera, a 14-year real estate industry veteran, specializes in the sales and marketing of new construction condominiums, conversions and single-family developments. She has been involved in launching dozens of developments in Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan.

“Britta Rivera will use her extensive real estate knowledge and experience to handle the day-to-day operations of sales and marketing for all Chieftain Group developments,” said Sean O’Sullivan, chief operations officer and director of Chieftain Group.

O’Sullivan said Rivera will begin with the unveiling of Phase II of Lexington Park, a 35-story new-construction high-rise and loft development on the northeast corner of Michigan Avenue and Cermak Road in the South Loop, directly across from the McCormick Place.

During her career in real estate, Rivera has held the position as vice president of sales for Lennar Urban and Terrapin Properties. Rivera also worked for nine years as general manager for Garrison Partners, a top Chicago-based sales and marketing, real estate consulting firm.

Rivera received her real estate license in 1994 and is currently a licensed real estate broker in Illinois. She has been awarded the honors of “Top Producer” and has achieved numerous Million Dollar Awards in the real estate industry.

Sales have surpassed the 50-percent mark at Lexington Park. The high-rise features 297 residential units and the 7-story low-rise addition showcases 36 loft—style units. The two buildings are connected by a landscaped roof deck and parking.

An on-site sales center and a professionally furnished one-bedroom-plus-bonus-room model is located at 2138 S. Indiana. Prices range from $227,900 for the most affordable 1-bedroom unit to $727,900 for the top-of-the-line 3-bedroom penthouse.

During the grand opening on Phase II at Lexington Park, the developer is offering a $10,000 incentive toward price of home or upgrades. The first loft units at Lexington Park are expected to deliver in late 2008 in the 7-story building. Initial occupancy in the high-rise is scheduled for spring of 2009.

Since its inception in 1992, Chieftain Construction has built its reputation upon delivering quality developments in dynamic locations worldwide, including Europe, Africa and North America.

In addition to Lexington Park, the company’s current projects include a $100-million luxury hotel and apartment complex in the heart of Liverpool, England and several residential housing developments in South Africa.

The Lexington Park sales center and model located at 2138 S. Indiana Ave. Sales center hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. For more information, please call 312-842-2202 or visit www.lexingtonparkcondos.com.
